Abstract

The article deals with the current ideas about the mechanisms of development of antibiotic resistance of leading microbial pathogens of intensive care units (ICU) to the main groups of antibacterial drugs. The results on the study of ten-year evolution of the microbial landscape in general ICUs of Kyiv and modern trends in the formation of antibiotic resistance of the main microbial pathogens of these departments are presented.
