Diagnostic opportunities in dysfunction of heart valve prosthesis (literature review)

The article describes the diagnostic methods inten­ded to detect dysfunction of the implanted heart valve mechanical prostheses. The symptoms revealed by electrocardiography, radiography, cine-fluoroscopy, transthoracic and esophageal echocardiography, multidetector computed tomography are demonstrated. The comparative characteristic allowing differentiating a pannus from thrombosis of prosthesis is given. The citation bases PubMed, RSCI, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar were used for full disclosure of the topic of the review article, with the presentation of modern views on the study of this problem.
