Informed consent in clinical practice

Yu.I. Markov, A.O. Zhezher

Abstract

The review article examines the issues of informed consent of the patient to diagnosis, treatment, surgery and anesthesia in various fields of medicine. It is noted that the support of informed consent in the theory of bioethics is often based on the concepts of autonomy and the right of an autonomous agent to make decisions. Among other questions, primary records and information the patient should be provided with in connection with the expected treatment are highlighted.
