Perioperative Analgesia at Appendectomy: Dexketoprofenum versus Rofecoxibum

O.Yu. Boduliev

Abstract

The effectiveness of perioperative analgesia with dexketoprofenum and rofecoxibum as medications for basic therapy in patients undergone appendectomy was compared in the work. The level of pain by the Visual Analogue Scale, necessity of additional analgesia and self-assessment of the analgesia quality by a patient were investigated. As a result the better quality of analgesia with Dexketoprofenum in the examined group of patients was registered, probable due to inhibition of COX-1 in the tissues of post-operative wound.
