Abdominal Hypertension Syndrome: the State of the Problem

Abstract

The review presents an urgent problem of surgery and intensive care — intra-abdominal hypertension syndrome. Current definitions, clinical and diagnostic concept and classification of this complication are presented. Modern approa-ches to the monitoring of intra-abdominal pressure, including a special closed system for measuring the intravesical pressure, requiring no additional hardware are described. The authors discussed surgical ways of treatment of intra-abdominal hypertension syndrome.
