Effect of Metoclopramide and L-arginine on the Performance of Motor-Evacuation Function of the Gastrointestinal Tract and on Hemodynamics after Urgent Abdominal Surgeries
Objective of the study: to assess the effect of postoperative metoclopramide and L-arginine administration on the performance of motor-evacuation function of the gastrointestinal tract and on hemodynamics after urgent abdominal surgeries.
Results. The article presents data on the use of metoclopramide and L-arginine to prevent postoperative gastrointestinal dysmotility. It is proved that the use of L-arginine leads to a decrease in peripheral vasospasm phenomena that, improving microcirculation of the intestinal wall, resulting in a more rapid recovery of the motor-evacuation function of the gastrointestinal tract.
