Prevention of Postural Hemodynamic Changes During Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy under Different Schemes of General Anesthesia

O.A. Rud, O.V. Naumenko

Abstract

In our study, we compared the severity of postural hemodynamic changes during surgery for kidney stones, including coral calculi, in various schemes of general anesthesia (total intravenous anesthesia with propofol and inhalation anesthesia using sevoflurane). To do this, we have analyzed and compared the blood pressure parameters at different stages of surgery in two groups of patients, who differed by type of anesthetic for maintaining general anesthesia. The study found that postural hemodynamic changes do not depend on the type of anesthetic used to maintain general anesthesia, when carrying out percutaneous nephrolithotripsy, provided support of optimal depth of anesthesia (bispectral index within 40–60 units).
