Abstract

The article deals with problem of the influence of anesthesia and surgery on cognitive function of middle-aged female patients. Postoperative cognitive dysfunction has a negative impact on the quality of life of patients, increasing length of hospital admission. In this study the authors examined the incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction in patients after hysterectomy for cervical cancer or uterine cancer. The effect of Gliatilin on the prevention of postoperative cognitive dysfunction has been investigated.
