Abstract

The work deals with studying the peculiarities of systemic hemodynamics in puerperas during the occurrence of obstetric hemorrhage and identifying the prognostic role of hemodynamic parameters used to assess the reaction of systemic circulation to the loss of circulating blood volume. Studies were carried out in 32 puerperas (average age — 29.7 ± 3.4 years, body surface area — 1.96 ± 0.30 m2), in which childbirth was complicated by obstetric hemorrhage. As a result of the studies, the advantage of using pulse pressure indicators as an early detector of hypovolemia and the severity of blood loss, which is often compensated by sympathetic reflexes and hides behind the “normal” values of blood pressure and central hemodynamic parameters, was confirmed. Moreover, statistically significant changes in pulse pressure were observed starting with blood loss, which was about/more than 12 % of circulating blood volume.
