Although specific treatments for patients with acute pancreatitis are being anticipated and there is no clinically useful laboratory marker for monitoring the clinical trajectory of patients, new evidence has been accumulated regarding the early treatment of patients with this pathology. When patients with acute pancreatitis develop infection of fluid collection, necrotic collection, and wall-off necrosis, interventional treatment may be required. The article provides an overview of current national and international recommendations for acute pancreatitis from the Medline database from 2013 to 2020. Indications for the management of acute pancreatitis patients in intensive care units and the volume of conservative care are considered. Modern methods of interventions are explained, based on the step-up concept. A mini-invasive approach to the treatment of patients with acute biliary pancreatitis has been identified.Downloads
