Abstract

The improved technique of infusion-transfusion therapy, including normovolemic hemodilution, transfusion of pre-harvested autoblood, as well as preventive perioperative application of low-molecular-weight heparins, was used in 121 patients during liver resections. The proposed technique has enabled to reduce the loss of formed elements and blood loss during surgery, to decrease the need for transfusion of foreign blood products, to prevent thrombotic complications effectively without increase of hemorrhagic risks.
