The article highlights the issues of infusion therapy with plasma substitutes based on hydroxyethyl starch. Particular attention is given to the third generation of hydroxyethyl starches — features of their pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Sufficient evidence base about the features of the influence of this group of drugs on parameters of homeostasis, hemodynamics, as well as on microcirculation is provided.Downloads
