The purpose of the study was to determinе the psychological state and to evaluate the professional adaptation of specialists of the brigade of permanent readiness of disaster medicine service in the conditions of work in the emergency area. Results. According to the results of the questionnaire survey of medical staff, it was established that when performing professional duties, the majority of respondents (from 75 %) relied on their own education and professionalism, and, in terms of their reaction, had a mobilization psychotype and an internal locus of control; depending on the environment, the level of personal safety was assessed individually by each specialist — 66.7 % for women and 89.7 % for men, and depended on their personal experience and perception of events; 91.6 % of women and 94.8 % of men confirmed the success of their professional duties depending on the stability of individual and group facilities and the necessity of group interaction in an emergency situation, but at the end of the work of the mobile hospital, emotional negative stress more often influenced the activation of psychological processes and provoked conflict situations in 75 % of women and 94.8 % of men; after participating in the work of the hospital in the emergency area, almost all employees of the mobile hospital (91.7 % of women and 89.7 % of men) experienced fatigue, 50 % of women and 66.7 % of men — sadness, 41.7 % of women and 20.5 % of men — helplessness, 100 % of women and 74.4 % of men felt anxiety, nightmares were recorded in 41.7 % of women and 18 % of men, the feeling of depression was detected “periodically” in 58.3 % of women and 25.6 % of men and “always” — in 16.6 % of women and 12.8 % of men. Conclusions. Under natural emergency situations, the load on the human psyche is increased many times, emotional and behavioral responses change, which in general leads to mental disorders, as well as to the decrease in the level of functional and somatic reserves of the body. Systemic diagnosis and evaluating the impact of the stress factor as a result of an emergency situation on the psychological state and professional adaptation of the specialists of the mobile hospital indicate that the health workers have a significant emotional stress and the presence of factors of maladaptation.
}, number={8.95}, journal={EMERGENCY MEDICINE}, author={Nazarenko, I.I. and Pechyborshch, V.P. and Ivanov, V.I. and Mazurenko, O.V.}, year={2018}, month={Dec.}, pages={56–64} }
